Job Description: Energy Business Development Leader

Salary: 180-200K (possible flex)

Insight Global is seeking a dynamic and growth-focused Business Development Leader to expand our clients Industrial Process Systems ideally in Houston or other locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with clients in the energy sector, collaborating with local operations, and leading client-focused teams to drive exceptional growth. The ideal candidate will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a team.

Responsibilities:

  Regularly engage with targeted clients in Houston to identify new opportunities.

  Identify and pursue opportunities for proposals and additional work, collaborating with the business development team to drive business growth.

  Understand clients business needs and develop innovative, cost-effective solutions to exceed their expectations.

  Coordinate project delivery and proposal teams, providing clear and concise communication on client requirements and differentiation strategies.

  Support business development activities by contributing to the development and enhancement of business development strategy.

  Proactively network with clients, teaming partners, and industry contacts to understand market trends, needs, and future opportunities.

  Maintain awareness of industry economic information and project development within targeted geographic regions.

  Collaborate with stakeholders in proposal writing, marketing presentations, and internal resource organization for targeted prospects.

  Work effectively in a matrixed work environment, interacting with business development and operations teams, and maintaining close client communications to represent their needs.

  Coordinate with operations teams to ensure engineering scopes and pricing align with client requirements and requests for proposals.

  May require presentation and visits to client locations as needed.

Additional Expertise: The successful candidate should have extensive experience providing process engineering consultancy and design services. This includes process studies, process modeling and simulations, heat and material balances, process optimization, and process design services such as process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation drawings, line designation tables, emergency shutdown keys, equipment sizing, and specifications. Solutions to plant or process unit operating problems, process unit bottlenecks, and modifications to increase or optimize facility throughput, product recovery, and energy use are all part of our process expertise.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering.

  Professional Engineer (PE) registration

  8-12 years of relevant experience in the Oil and Gas industry, particularly with midstream companies;

  5+ years of multi-disciplinary project management experience;

  Experience in managing multiple clients and projects, as well as drafting proposals, quotes, and bids.

  Proficiency in MS Office Suite programs used to create reports and documents.

  The project work will be multi-disciplinary in nature, but experience in transmission pipeline and facilities infrastructure is preferred.

  Excellent leadership and mentoring skills.

  Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.

  Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  Must have a 'get it done' attitude and be proactive.

  Strong organizational and time management skills.

  Quality and client service oriented.

  High attention to detail, finances, and good problem-solving skills.

Results oriented and utilizes change management skills to maximize revenue. previous EPCM experience
