Weatherford New Energy - Business Development Manager in Houston, Texas

Weatherford has an opening in Houston, TX for a Business Development Manager - New Energy and you will be responsible for pro-actively and strategically seeks out and aligns Weatherford technology to our customer’s operational/project needs, to establish mid/long term sales strategies to achieve growth and navigating project/opportunities for sales and commercialization process of the company. This role is also responsible for a high-level engagement with customers, the success candidate needs to hold completions background

SALES AND OPERATIONS

  • Supports the development and implementation of the Company’s growth strategy in new energy markets

  • Assemble and disseminate market intelligence back to internal stakeholders, collaborating to develop strategic pursuit plans, and uncovering development opportunities.

  • Follow up submissions, customer requests, internal and external interactions.

  • Works directly with Operations, Sales & Marketing on customer Request for Proposals (RFP) and help facilitate alignment on multi-product line proposals when developing customer value proposition.

  • Responsible for adopting consistent & effective use of the available Technology (SFDC.com, XAIT-Porter, Office)

  • Propose successful solutions to customers formally (through presentations, & tender submissions) & informally through collaboration, inside and outside the workplace

  • Utilize WFRD business systems to quote, forecast, maintain contracts, and pursue work.

  • Respond immediately and accurately to customer requests and leads.

  • Oversee the tender development and response process, per corporate guidelines; ensure all resources are available and produce for high quality submissions.

  • Liaise with the commercial operations center and legal department for contract initiation, drafting, and execution.

  • Responsible for advising client accurately whether or not the Company wishes to participate in a given opportunity

  • Responsible for grasping and communicating technical specifications with the client &; securing detailed client feedback and constructive criticism

  • Provide project and inventory management for resultant orders, as a single point of contact for our customers.

  • Accountable for the technical review & commercial proposal

  • Completions, Liner Hanger, Cementing Products knowledge expert to generate and evaluate quotes-Responsible for being familiar with the Company's Quality policies and takes an active role in the compliance and improvement of Weatherford's Management System

  • Maps the Geozone market, identifying key clients, existing and new, and liaises with Geozopne Sales leadership to agree ownership and responsibility

  • Collaborates with Geozone Sales leadership to identify existing sales resources that are engaged with New Energy clients and subsequently supports the overall sales efforts to align with Geozone targets and business development strategy

  • Manages the pipeline of new business opportunities and the associated tender execution

  • Ensures opportunities are entered into the Salesforce system and communicated across the global WFT organization

  • Regularly monitors competitor activity within the field of new energies and has a comprehensive understanding of the market share both geographically and in technology

  • Identifies new energy solutions for the Company to participate in and compete successfully

COMMUNICATION

  • Supports and delivers professional communication both internally and externally detailing the Company’s capabilities in New Energy market

  • Collaborates with Marketing function to develop and promote marketing material within the Geozone as well as expand awareness across the Geozones

  • Engages multiple levels of the key client organizations throughout their decision-making matrix and strives to successfully execute global level strategy.

  • Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal

  • In a supervisory/management role clearly communicates expectations, roles and responsibilities to their reports

REQUIRED

  • Engineer in OIL and Gas or related field

  • Have 5 plus years industry experience in a combination of offshore and onshore roles

  • Knowledge of Geozone client profiles and ability to engage at all levels of customer hierarchy

  • Must have experience in New Energy markets (Geothermal, CCS, Mining, H2, and P&A)

  • Demonstrated development of contracts, negotiations and execution

  • Successful track record of delivering complex, business projects in challenging environments

  • Excellent experience in development and management of Account Plans & strategies

  • Experience in working successfully in a matrix organization with functions and product lines

  • Excellent knowledge of P&L management including effective capex utilization

  • Demonstrated experience in successful change management, influencing others at all levels internally and with clients

REQUIRED - Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proven skills in sales, operations, and product line management

  • Experience in mentoring individuals formally and informally

  • Experience in preparing and delivering presentations to senior management internally and externally

  • Logical, methodical, results driven, self-driven, decisive, flexible, determined with a sound business judgment

  • Good technical knowledge of Weatherford product range and oilfield services

  • Ability to successfully interact with diverse groups of people in order to deliver innovative solutions to difficult problems
