GE Vernova Aeroderivative business is looking for a Lead Engineer with proven mechanical power plant design knowledge that wants a challenging and rewarding technical career supporting the introduction of GE Vernova leading edge power generation technologies. Aeroderivative engineering executes designs on a full portfolio of new product introduction (NPI), reliability & maintainability (RAM), product cost out initiatives (PCO), customized requisitions, and services and customer support. Projects will include design of all mechanical components and system integration of aeroderivative packages like fuel system design, auxiliary skids, synthetic and mineral lube oil system design, enclosures, piping, and all other necessary process systems that support the operation of the aeroderivative gas turbine. Mechanical system-level and detailed component design may span all Aero equipment including design and structural analysis of heavy structures, piping, inlets, exhausts, enclosures, bases, building/foundations, and plant layouts.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities :
Lead the mechanical system design and integration of the Aeroderivative Gas Turbine Package Product Line (LMS100, LM6000, LMXpress, TM2X).
Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements. This work would include mechanical engineering for all Aero products
Contribute to reduce COQ exposure, improve quality processes, and drive common fix solutions for Aero product lines.
Capable of selecting and evaluating best fit configurations per customer requirements
Provide valuable assessment for customers and recognize opportunities to improve customer satisfaction
Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
Develop design schedule for projects/programs with milestones and work task assignments in close collaboration with cross-functional teams
Proficient management of multiple programs at the same time
Provide support and present technical data and new technologies to internal stakeholders and external customers
Document and communicate results of technical data generated
Read and interpret schematics of Flow and Instrument diagrams.
Read, interpret, and create mechanical technical drawings (PMIs) and installation manuals.
Ability to visualize models in NX UG.
Interpret structural analysis.
Knowledge of applicable national & international codes/Standards/directives
Prepare invention disclosures to protect the technology that provides a competitive advantage to the business
Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects/programs and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Drive extended team of GE and contract engineers to ensure that all projects/programs deliverables are completed successfully with quality, efficiency, and effectiveness
Collaborate with key functional teams, Manufacturing and Global Supply Chain, to execute on projects/programs; additionally, supporting and driving solutions with Product Services, Project Fulfillment, Performance, Applications and Controls within engineering
Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments to Engineering Managers and Product Line Leaders
Capable of negotiating budget, manage timelines and guide cross functional teams to deliver with high quality and OTD.
Provide cost effective solutions for business & customer. Identify and implement cost out ideas.
Knowledgeable in mechanical system design and interfacing on Aeroderivative products
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Engineering Technology from an accredited college and university
This role requires advanced experience in the Engineering/Technology & Mechanical Component.
Proficient in AutoCAD and Unigraphics.
Proficient in English.

Desired Characteristics
Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university
Advanced experience in mechanical or process engineering experience in the power industry
Sound knowledge of codes and standards, including understanding of safety standards
Previous experience designing or installing GE Gas Power products
Familiarity with the design and specification of complete power plant
Familiarity with manufacturing processes
Good understanding of gas turbine packages and power plants
Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering systems and tools
Green Belt certified or equivalent Quality certification
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $39,333 - $49,167 - $59,000 USD
The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
This position is also eligible for a variable incentive bonus of 12.5%
