Superior Energy Services is currently seeking a Materials Handler Laborer 1 for our Completion's Office in Houston, TX .

Take on a dynamic role where you'll keep our operations moving seamlessly! You'll handle the transfer of essential materials, equipment, kits, supplies, and assemblies, ensuring everything's in the right place at the right time. You'll play a crucial part in locating and addressing parts shortages throughout the plant. Dive into hands-on activities like deburring, part marking, material cutting, picking, copper coating, and operating ovens for loading and unloading. With every transfer and process, you’ll be key to our production flow!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Knowledge of heavy equipment operation.
Ensure equipment is operating properly and safely before use. Complete the required documentation to safely utilize the equipment.
Report damaged equipment or damage to the Manager or Supervisor Immediately.
Ensure that work areas are maintained in a neat and orderly manner at all times.
Provide products and services that consistently meet or exceed our internal and external customer’s requirements. Ensure that machine components meet all print requirements and always have a first article inspection completed by qualified personnel.
Complete all required documentation accurately.
Participate in training and cross-training within other areas of the machine shop when possible to increase skill level that will enable management to utilize added skill to improve through-put and to prevent downtime or disruption to operations.
Review travelers for accurate time standards; notify Supervision of inaccurate time standards for correction.
Coordinate daily activities with Supervisor and/or Manager to ensure the quality and quantity of work meets performance expectations as set by Management.
Operates saw to materials.
Apply Copper coating on parts per drawings and specifications.
Operate and load/unload stress oven per drawing/route card and specifications.
Bead blast/shot peen parts per drawings and specifications.
Assist lead man/machinist on machines as applicable.
Use small hand tools and may operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet handlers, skids, cranes, and hand trucks.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED required, work-related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Knowledge of heavy equipment operation.
Proficient in communicating with colleagues and in creating a team working environment.
Current health, safety & environmental (HSE) training as per division training matrix (Includes both regulatory and SES required courses).
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote safe operations.
Ethical business practices.
Knowledge of Deburr, coatings, bead blast/shot peening
Applicable PPE is required to complete assigned tasks.
Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
Understanding written statements in work-related documents.
BEHAVIORAL ABILITIES
Ability to safely operate, maintain, and perform minor repairs on equipment.
Ability to understand and carry out routine oral and written instructions.
Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem and communicating it to a supervisor.
Ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted.
Accurately complete/maintain necessary reports/records in a timely and legible manner, according to applicable procedures and/or work orders.
Organize tasks and responsibilities in a manner that maintains production output standards.
Perform routine maintenance inspections according to the standard operating procedure.
Read, interpret, and work from blueprints.
Use time efficiently.
Communicate effectively within and across divisions.
Deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.
Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Lifting - Up to 50 Lbs. minimal and occasionally
