KPMG is currently seeking a Manager in Customer & Operations for our Consulting (https://advisory.kpmg.us/) practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in highly skilled client and KPMG work teams throughout the project lifecycle by developing and implementing Oil & Gas operating strategies, improving performance through business process optimization, and leveraging technology to provide solutions directly impacting the client's bottom line

  • Effectively communicate technical and financial recommendations, both orally and written, that establishes a trusted advisor relationship

  • Develop and test actionable insights derived from data and a broad understanding of the energy value chain

  • Establish client value propositions that tie financial metrics to C- level focus areas directly to operations business improvement

  • Participate in continual development and publication of thought leadership and service offerings

  • Assist partners with practice administration including resource allocation, career development of staff, and other people management decisions

Qualifications:

  • Minimum eight years of recent experience in the oil & gas industry or within energy transition consulting, with a strong knowledge of oil & gas value chain including exploration, development, production and facilities is required; downstream and Chemicals experience also advantageous

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, engineering, operations analysis, or a related field from an accredited college/university; MBA from an accredited college/university is preferred

  • Strong knowledge of oil and gas value chain including drilling, production, facilities for front middle and back office, with experience in petro technology, geological, and land functions

  • Excellent foundational written and verbal communication, facilitation, and presentation skills

  • Travel as needed
