About this Role

The Manager, Corporate Accounting is responsible for various corporate and Company’s group areas, including corporate accounts payable and vendor management functions, analyzing and reporting on the Company’s portfolio of equity investments, managing the statutory reporting and audit for certain foreign subsidiaries, managing the corporate’s fixed assets and analyzing and reporting on some of the Company’s corporate departments.

She/he will interact with other members of corporate departments within finance and operations, as well as with the Company’s operating units. Additionally, the Manager, Corporate Accounting will support the accounting function in certain Company initiatives and transactions.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the corporate accounts payable department to ensure approval matrices are up-to-date, issues are resolved timely, assist with complex transactions/invoices, and controls are properly in place;

  • Supervise the corporate vendor management function;

  • Accounting for the Company’s investments, including equity-in-earnings recognition, impairment analysis, rollforwards/reconciliations, capital commitments, cash flow presentation, forecast preparation, non-GAAP and footnote disclosures, as well as analyze financial statements reported by some of the operating equity investment and prepare variance analysis;

  • Manage fixed asset ledger for the corporate department;

  • Coordination and oversight responsibility for the statutory reporting for certain foreign subsidiaries, including required annual financial statement filings and audits;

  • Review of monthly account reconciliations, rollforwards, account variance analysis, and journal entries, with the potential of producing these items for more complex account balances;

  • Review monthly corporate departments financials, including analyzing, meeting and discussing results with the Sr. Manager, Corporate Accounting and assisting with forecast/budget guidance where needed;

  • Facilitating and potentially recording the entries necessary for internal tax reorganizations as well as working with the Operating Units the reorganization may impact;

  • Coordination/interaction with the Company’s internal and external auditors;

  • Evaluating processes for continuous improvement and efficiencies and suggesting change where needed; and

  • Performing internal controls for areas of responsibility and ensuring that controls are appropriate and adequate under Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.

  • Develop and maintain close business relationships with various areas throughout the organization including Corporate Accounting, Treasury, Tax, Legal, HR and other Corporate departments.

What You'll Bring

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree and/or Master in accounting

  • 6 Years of “Big Four” Public Accounting or similar role in a public company

    Preferred Education and Experience

  • Infrastructure build company experience or other construction company experience;

  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP

  • JDE experience

  • OneStream experience

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;

    Required Licenses/Certifications

  • Professional Accounting Certification (CPA or Chartered Accountant)

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position has 4 overall reports consisting of 1 Vendor Management Coordinator, 1 AP Supervisor and 2 AP clerks reporting to the AP Supervisor. This role will have to also advise and direct the accounting department(s) of operating units, as well as other corporate functions (i.e. financial planning and analysis, treasury, tax, corporate development).
