Description

We are seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join our boutique firm located in downtown Houston, Texas. This role is within the litigation department. The selected individual will have the chance to work on both personal injury and commercial cases, playing a key role in managing the litigation process.

Responsibilities:

• Manage e-filing and e-discovery processes in line with case requirements using PACER and iPRO.

• Prepare and respond to discovery requests accurately and promptly

• Maintain and manage case calendars to ensure all deadlines are met

• Prepare pleadings and discovery documents for client cases

• Communicate with clients and opposing counsel professionally and effectively

• Assist in trial preparation activities including organizing exhibits, documents, and other case-related materials

• Utilize case management software to track case progress and maintain organized case files

• Handle claim administration and complaint handling tasks as required

• Work with Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat to manage and present case data

• Conduct briefing and billing functions as part of case management duties.

Requirements

• Must possess a paralegal certificate and a Bachelor's Degree

• Familiarity with Case Management Software is essential

• Must have experience with Management Systems

• Should be capable of handling Billing Functions

• Must have experience in Briefing

• Calendar Management skills are required

• Ability to handle Claim Administration

• Commercial Litigation experience is essential

• Familiarity with Personal Injury Law is required

• Experience in Personal Injury Litigation is necessary

• e-Filing experience is required using PACER

• Must be proficient in e-Discovery using iPRO
