Position Summary: The Key Account Manager for our Energy Services Division will be responsible for managing and developing new accounts and developing a portfolio of customers including Global Key Accounts in the Oil & Gas market. This position must have the ability to develop a strategy (Key Account/Business Plan) for the portfolio with a hunter style, and the ability to develop high level customer intimacy necessary to deliver financial targets for their accounts. This position will also drive innovation and facilitate product launches
- This is a remote position based in Houston, TX, with a travel requirement of 25-50%
Job Responsibilities:
Strong focus on new customer acquisition and business development.
Relentlessly prospect and pursue for new customers.
initiate contact with potential and current customers to generate and qualify leads, promote the company's products and services, and identify sales opportunities.
Build close relationships with existing and new customers at all levels
Develop in-depth knowledge about the industry and market, customers and competitors
Create robust sales pipelines and manage opportunities to a successful close
Provide rapid response to customer requirements
Develops and executes account planning
Track actual financial performance against plan targets; identify potential gaps, and define corrective actions
Support and implement commercial growth plans and activities in Oil & Gas market segments.
Provide accurate forecasts to support planning needs
Support innovation and new product launch programs
Requirements
B.S. in Business, Marketing, Chemistry or related field is preferred
5+ years of technical sales experience selling specialty chemicals or additives in the Lubricant, Fuel, or Petroleum industry (or a similar sector).
Understanding of the Oil & Gas technology platform related to own product range.
Understands the legal requirements related to commercial contracts
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Proficient with MS Office applications and CRM database to manage customer accounts
Ability to travel 25-50%
