METECS Junior Systems Engineer in Houston, Texas
This position will provide support for development and review of NASA-STD-7009 compliance products, including criticality and credibility assessments and verification and validation plans.
Support development of the Pressurized Rover (PR) Modeling and Simulation plan
Attend Commercial LEO meetings as directed and review vendor documentation to assess NASA-STD-7009 compliance and M&S planning activities.
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering
Experience in systems engineering or a related technical field
Ability to learn quickly
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Desired:
Broad understanding across Systems Engineering Disciplines. Specifically, Systems Engineering and Integration, Requirements Development, Test Operations, Assembly and Integration, and Test and Verification
Software development experience
Prior experience in model-based system design/specification
Experience with large system Verification and Validation planning and execution for aerospace systems.
Experience with the NASA Systems Development Lifecycle, Life Cycle Reviews, and associated products
Experience working in a team environment
Citizenship or lawful permanent residency required.
