As a key member of the Lower 48 Integrated Operations (L48 IO) Team, this position will support the L48 Business Unit with their data needs and quests to create a best-in-class integrated data environment in support of data driven business decisions.
If you are selected as the IO Data Execution Lead, you will support and grow Lower 48 data sets and Extract Transfer Load (ETL) processes; primarily Teradata environment based with specific focus on TAS (Teradata SAP) datasets.
This position can be based in Houston, Texas, Midland, Texas, or Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
Your responsibilities may include:
Collect data requirements and provide time and resource availability estimates
Identify, design, model and implement best-in-class solutions in an integrated data environment while always considering sustainability and scalability; includes building of queries, tables, views, and stored procedures.
Ensures that solutions are aligned with the L48 Data Management Strategy
Communicate and interact with external and internal IT resources in order to use the best technical solutions
Identifying and resolving data quality issues of existing processes
Efficiently organize and lead workshops/meetings to help progress projects with minimal direction
Help with governance, strategy, and business process design and/or implementation
Provide leadership and consults in areas of expertise
Creating new tables and views, as needed for business users by understanding the business process end-to-end (in collaboration with the team’s data/solution architects)
Consulting: provide guidance on integrating Teradata data sets, i.e., “standard methodologies”
Other responsibilities may include:
Support duties of data management efforts
Lead a team of contract data resources which includes but is not limited to prioritizing and assigning work items, reviewing/approving time sheets, administering contract extensions
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen or national, or an alien admitted as a permanent resident, refugee or asylee
Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Admin/Mgmt, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, other related business field, other related technical field, or foreign equivalent
5 years of data warehouse experience
5 years of SQL experience
5 years of experience in data management concepts and practices
3 years of experience in the Upstream Oil and Gas industry and with related terminology
1 years of data modeling experience
Adopts ConocoPhillips' SPIRIT values including Safety-First culture
3 years of experience in the following applications:
Teradata, Oracle, Informatica, Azure DevOps
Efficient verbal and written communication skills
Advanced knowledge of ConocoPhillips' and L48 data management standards, processes, and technologies
Able to thrive in a team environment
