Audubon Companies, LLC ILI Field Technician in Houston, Texas
Audubon is currently seeking an ILI Field Technician to join our team. The ILI Field Technician will assist in the daily activities related to the collection of ILI support field data. Provides support for Field Operations Manager and completes daily assigned tasks.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
:
- Actively participates in company and client hazard identification and observation programs, and immediately reports any unsafe acts, conditions, or incidents to your supervisor.
- Performs tasks assigned by the Field Operations Manager.
- Maintains equipment.
- Travel to job sites required, this is a field position. All projects will require travelling to the job location.
- Listen to instructions provided by Field Operations Manager and can work in a variety of conditions.
- The ability to work 10 to 12 hours per day, 6 days per week.
- Must be physically capable of walking up to 5 miles in one day with equipment and water packs in sometimes extreme weather conditions.
- Ensures that supplies and equipment are charged and stocked in vehicles.
- Must be self-aware of surroundings and environment.
- Must be capable of operating vehicles and equipment in a professional and safe manner necessary to complete projects. Over the age of 25 if assigned a company vehicle.
- Must be able to use hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials and manipulating objects.
- Maintains and supports all equipment, including tracking equipment, Survey equipment and supplies.
- Participate in daily JSA with team members.
- Performs Field Surveys as needed, including but not limited to AGM Surveys and Dig Staking Surveys.
- Adheres to company quality and safety standards and procedures.
- Professional, dependable and able to work in a team environment.
- Communicates with supervisors and peers providing information by phone, written, e-mail, or in person.
- Capable of understanding and retaining job related vocabulary of the ILI Support/ integrity assessment field.
- Dependable transportation to get to and from different job locations.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
:
- Minimum of a High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- 2+ years of relevant experience in the pipeline industry preferred.
- Knowledge Requirements: Basic knowledge of pipeline industry and integrity/corrosion programs.
- Valid Drivers License and clean driving record.
- Reliable transportation.
- Proficient in the use of basic computer skills (MS Windows, Excel, Word, e-mail).
