Robert Half Hybrid- SEC Reporting Manager in Houston, Texas

Description

A globally recognized, innovative energy company is seeking a skilled SEC Reporting Manager to join its dynamic Finance and Accounting team. The selected individual will play a pivotal role in refining and maintaining the company's reporting procedures, overseeing the creation of disclosures and supporting schedules, researching SEC requirements, and ensuring the accuracy of financial statements.

The position will be based in our Texas office, with a possibility of occasional travel to the company headquarters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the company's SEC filings and coordinate with internal legal experts regarding additional filings.

  • Develop an in-house monthly reporting package.

  • Handle the financial reporting schedule, distribute draft financial statements, and liaise with relevant committees.

  • Participate in strategic financial projects and implement new software affecting reporting.

  • Scrutinize and document significant or unusual transactions for proper accounting and disclosure.

  • Assist in coordinating interim reviews and annual audits with external auditors.

  • Maintain the company’s accounting policy library and coordinate with valuation specialists as required.

  • Update the company’s stock-based compensation system.

  • Prepare additional reports and analyses as requested by management.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting is essential, and a Master's degree in a relevant field is desirable.

  • Active CPA license is an asset.

  • 5+ years of relevant experience including at least 3 years of SEC reporting.

  • Familiarity with SEC reporting requirements and commitment to high-quality financial reporting.

  • Knowledge of SOX compliance requirements.

  • Workiva and Advanced Excel
