Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Job Description

Seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to diagnose, service, and repair various systems on heavy equipment, including mechanical and computer electronic controls, transmissions, pneumatic systems, and more. Responsibilities include troubleshooting malfunctions, repairing systems such as track drive sprockets, hydraulic systems, and overhauling engines. The role requires maintaining a clean and organized work area and may involve training less experienced workers in mechanical repair techniques. Assignments may start in-shop but will transition to field work where you will independently address customer needs in a non-temperature-controlled environment.

Hard Skills

• Mechanical repair on heavy machinery (Excavators, Loaders, etc.)

• Experience with Diesel, Electrical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic systems

• Ability to overhaul engines, replace engines, and rebuild components

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving skills

• Independence in troubleshooting and repairs

• Organizational skills

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Houston, Texas.

Work Environment

Initial training in-shop followed by fieldwork; non-temperature-controlled environment; independent work
