Xylem Global Product Manager, Mobile Treatment in Houston, Texas

Main Responsibilities:

  • Profit and Growth Ownership: Drive the profit and growth of Xylem’s global mobile business.

  • Customer Experience Leadership: Define a winning end-to-end customer experience, including digital interfaces, and align senior management on the required investment. Support execution of the customer experience strategy.

  • Technology Expertise: Take accountability for technical form, fit, and function of mobile assets. Drive alignment on “must have,” “should have,” and “could have” functionality for new offerings and upgrades.

  • Benchmarking and Roadmap Management: Benchmark Xylem against global competition and develop a multi-year roadmap. Support regional commercial teams in creating annual operating plans and investments to meet strategic growth objectives.

  • Synergy Identification: Partner with global solutions and services teams to identify and leverage synergies between mobile and other Xylem organizations. Foster greater community between sales and business units globally.

  • Product Portfolio Management: Work with application, sales, and development teams to identify new product offerings and product changes needed for the mobile product portfolio.

  • Internal Communications: Inform colleagues about Xylem mobile initiatives, strategy, commercial wins, and industry presence.

Product Line Strategy:

  • Develop a mobile treatment roadmap covering positioning, pathways for scale, and value proposition.

  • Collaborate with Business Units, Vertical Managers, and Global Product teams to develop global, regional, and local plans.

  • Accountable for developing business cases, product requirements, and understanding customer and market needs.

  • Specify market requirements, competition, market, and technology trends for current and future products.

  • Conduct product-related market research, Voice of Customer, customer visits, and close collaboration with local-regional product managers and vertical marketing.

Technical Ownership:

  • Develop and maintain technical specifications and standards for mobile treatment solutions.

  • Oversee the integration of new technologies and innovations into the mobile product line.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards across all mobile treatment products.

Growth and Profitability:

  • Understand and provide insights for the S&OP forecast. Drive countermeasures if targets are not met.

  • Monitor sales, orders, and standard margins to reach targets, identify gaps, and implement countermeasures.

  • Provide strategic pricing guidelines across markets.

Key Relationships:

  • External: Consultants, Contractors, Plant Managers, End Users, Service Workshops, Design Engineers, Directors of Utilities, Distributors, and Developers.

  • Internal: Operations, R&D, Legal, Finance, Strategy, Regional and Local Product Managers, Communications, Vertical Marketing, Managing Directors, Sales, and Technical/Applications Support.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent; a higher degree in Business Administration is preferred.

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in industrial water treatment and/or industrial equipment environments.

  • Experience in a global environment within a matrix organization.

  • Excellent computer, communication, presentation, management, and analytical skills.

  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to understand technical issues and their project impacts, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

  • Flexibility to handle changing priorities and multiple projects simultaneously.

Additional Information:

  • Location: Must be near a Xylem office. Preferred locations: Houston, TX; Colorado Springs, CO; Bridgeport, NJ.

  • Travel: International and domestic travel required (25% on average, up to 50% at times).

  • Environment: Exposure to field elements at mines, treatment plants, industrial facilities, or contractor sites when traveling.

Salary range:

$91,500.00 - $164,500.00
