Cimarron is seekingFlight Software Developersto join a key team within Cimarron in support of a human spaceflight program! The selected candidates for this position can be located in eitherCentennial, CO, or Houston, TX.

Key Duties:

• Create automation tools to perform development and testing tasks using Python.
• Integrate tools with existing tools and those from, for example, Atlassian (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, etc.).
• Work with stakeholders to guide the design and development of automation tools/
• Develop and maintain the flight software.
• Make changes to existing flight software.
• Write and perform unit tests on the changes.
• Conduct software peer reviews.
• Develop and run integration tests.

Required/Desired Skills, Experience, and Education

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

• Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens or Permanent Residents are eligible for consideration at this time.
• 2 or more years of experience developing automation tools.
• Strong software debugging skills.
• Demonstrated ability to write technical reports.
• Experience interpreting formal requirement specifications.
• Ability to support occasional travel to Houston, TX or Centennial, CO.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical discipline.

Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:

• Experience working in an SAFe/Agile environment.
• Strong experience with Python.
• Experience with embedded systems and hardware in the loop simulations.
• Familiarity with Ada, C++, and Fortran programming languages.
• Familiarity with machine learning and large language model applications.
• Ability to work well in a remote/hybrid team environment.
• Aerospace experience.
