Siemens Energy Field Service Tooling Technician in Houston, Texas

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Shipping, receiving, unloading trucks, and checking in tool units. Complete inspection of all tools upon return to the facility and restock as required Receive and execute container inspections using the tool control database.

  • Clean, repaint and perform minor repairs on tooling as required. Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards. Recording material items received and/or distributed. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet areas, and workstations neat.

  • Organizational Skills: Attention to detail, working within established standard principles and practices for inspection and warehouse operations. Ability to organize critical items and tool containers in an efficient manner.

  • General: Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted. Applicant must demonstrate a solid understanding of safety related policies and procedures. Ability to work off-hours as required for emergency projects. Cost conscious.

  • Experience working industrial heavy machinery projects (Petro/Chemical and power generation environments).

  • Minor repair capability i.e., welding, disassembly, cleaning, and minor part replacement. Forklift training, safety, and operation. Receive and execute container inspections using the tool control database. Receive and execute container inspections using the tool control database.

What You Bring

  • Computer Skills: Administer and maintain orders, shipments, inspection, and general data in our Tool Control (TCTP) database. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products i.e. Excel & Word

  • Two years of experience in warehouse and/or tool depot operations (shipping, receiving) preferred. Mechanical Aptitude: 1-3 years’ experience working with machinery and tools preferred.

  • Maintenance, inspection and cataloging of precision tooling as well as rigging equipment.

  • High school level education required (GED or High School Diploma)
