Responsibilities
About the role
The Oracle Fusion ERP Manager is responsible for managing, maintaining, and enhancing the organization’s Oracle Fusion ERP environment. This role ensures the ERP system is optimized for performance, supports business operations, and aligns with strategic goals. The manager leads a team of technical and functional staff, coordinates with stakeholders, and oversees system upgrades, patches, and issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- System Management
Oversee the Oracle Fusion ERP environment, ensuring its availability, performance, and security.
Manage application configurations, customizations, and integrations with other enterprise systems.
Establish and monitor system performance metrics, addressing any deficiencies proactively.
- Team Leadership and Staff Development
Lead and manage a team of functional and technical analysts, administrators, and developers.
Provide mentorship and training to team members, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.
Coordinate workload assignments and ensure timely resolution of support requests and projects.
- Business Support and Collaboration
Act as the primary point of contact for ERP-related inquiries and issue resolution.
Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that align with organizational goals.
Facilitate communication between business units and technical teams to ensure effective system utilization.
- Patch and Upgrade Management
Plan, coordinate, and implement system updates, patches, and upgrades.
Conduct impact analyses to assess the effects of updates on business operations and custom configurations.
Collaborate with Oracle support to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to patches and upgrades.
- System Enhancements and Projects
Identify opportunities to optimize or enhance the ERP system to improve efficiency and user experience.
Lead ERP-related projects, including requirements gathering, planning, execution, testing, and deployment.
Stay updated on Oracle Fusion ERP advancements and recommend improvements.
- Governance and Compliance
Ensure adherence to organizational policies and regulatory requirements, such as data protection and financial reporting standards.
Maintain system documentation, including workflows, configurations, and integration mappings.
Manage user access controls and security configurations to safeguard sensitive data.
- Vendor and Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with Oracle and third-party vendors to manage service contracts and ensure high-quality support.
Evaluate new tools and technologies to enhance ERP functionality and performance.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
About you
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience managing Oracle Fusion ERP or similar ERP systems.
• Proven experience leading ERP implementation, upgrade, and optimization projects.
Technical Skills
• Expertise in Oracle Fusion ERP modules (e.g., Financials, Supply Chain).
• Strong understanding of database management, cloud architecture, and system integrations.
• Proficiency in Oracle tools such as Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and Business Intelligence (BI) Publisher.
Soft Skills
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications
• Oracle Fusion ERP certification in specific modules or administration.
• Experience in Agile or other project management methodologies.
• Knowledge of ITIL practices for service and incident management.
Working conditions
• Hybrid work environment with occasional travel for system implementations or vendor meetings.
• Availability for after-hours support during critical updates or issue resolution.
