KBR EPC Accounting Manager in Houston, Texas

Title:

EPC Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager is responsible for general ledger accounting and reporting/analysis activities for a multi-billion-dollar EPC project.

This position is located in Houston, TX. The Accounting Manager reports to the Finance Director.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and manage construction work and monthly closing processes and asset capitalization

  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting while working with operations and project controls

  • Ensure project funding requirements are met to ensure positive project cash flow

  • Work closely with Project Controls to produce monthly reports and estimates

  • Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls

  • Work cross-functionally with multiple functions to evaluate potential change orders and their accounting impact

  • Research and document technical accounting positions as the need arises

  • Support monthly reporting of budgets/forecasts to corporate FP&A and Treasury

  • Prepare monthly financial reports and KPI(s)

  • Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s in accounting or Finance

  • CPA or CPA exam eligible

  • 6+ years accounting experience

  • 4+ years EPC accounting experience

  • Experience with joint ventures

  • High Analytical skill set, detailed oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Advanced Excel skills, and solid MS Suite skills (Word, Power Point, Visio, Project, SharePoint)

  • Proactive innovator with ability to prioritize effectively

  • Strong communication skills, critical thinking, and problem solving

  • Possess confidence, flexibility and is a team player
