Grundfos CBS Inc. is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager. The Engineering Project Manager is responsible for the engineering and management of awarded projects while providing technical support for winning jobs, order fulfillment and field service of engineered-to-order (ETO) business. They will be responsible for the development of drawings and documentation to meet customer specifications and order requirements while translating the requirements into what the business needs to execute the project. The Engineering Project Manager will also be responsible for planning, supporting, executing, and finalizing their allocated projects according to guidelines and budgets.This includes aligning internal and external resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors and suppliers to deliver projects according to plan. This position reports directly to Project Execution & Engineering Manager and will operate on a hybrid schedule based out of the Brookshire, Texas facility.
Your main responsibilities:
Project Engineering:
Responsible for modeling & dealing of HVAC and plumbing systems while being completely responsible for HVAC equipment selectionincluding steam boilers, hot water boilers, packaged DX cooling/gas heating RTU's/split AHU's (with other combinations of cooling and heating sources), VAV system, chillers/cooling towers, pumps, ductless split AC units, fans, boiler system associated equipment, etc.
Design of water side distribution system including pumps selection, piping systems, expansion tank, etc.
Perform technical review and data collection from customer documentation and technical standards.
Produce customer specific drawings and documentation from customer specifications and drawings.
Identify preorder and quotation requirements through early order screening process while obtaining supplier quotes.
Project Fulfillment:
Direct and manage projects from beginning to end.
Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
Review contract terms and conditions and work with leadership team on risks associated with each contract.
Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project. Participate in priority and daily production meetings while working closely with the projects team and operations.
Reporting & Time Management:
Develop and deliver progress reports, change orders, documentation and presentations as required.
Determine the frequency and content of stats reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
Your background:
We imagine that you have:
A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is required, or a combination of training, education, and experience.
A minimum of 2-5 years of engineering experience with a pump manufacturer is preferred.
Prior experience with rotating and hydraulic equipment including drivers, controls, and interface is desired, including skid and pipe fabrication.
A minimum of 3 years of direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.
Working knowledge of design software in AutoCAD, Solid Works, etc.
Experience in plumbing design or other piping systems is a plus.
Technical expertise in objective based decision making including the use of advanced mathematic and statistical models.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with a proven ability to successfully initiate, lead, and facilitate projects and teams.
Ability to travel when required for customer negotiations or site visits.
Excellent ability to multitask and adjust to a dynamic changing environment.
