MD Anderson Cancer Center Director, Sourcing and Contract Management in Houston, Texas

The mission of The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is to eliminate cancer in Texas, the nation, and the world through outstanding programs that integrate patient care, research and prevention, and through education for undergraduate and graduate students, trainees, professionals, employees and the public.

The Director, Sourcing and Contract Management is responsible for planning, leading and directing all strategic and operational aspects of Sourcing and Contract Management within Supply Chain Management.

KEY FUNCTIONS

• Has primary leadership responsibilities for strategic sourcing; contract negotiations, management and administration; and vendor performance measurement and relationship management.

• Collaborates with other supply chain operational areas to design and implement solutions to supply chain issues and systems.

• Serves as an advisor to the Associate Vice President and the broad customer base of MDACC.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Complies with all policies and standards.

EDUCATION

Required: Bachelor's Degree

Preferred: Master's Degree

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION

Required: CTPM, CPSM or equivalent within 18 of months employment

EXPERIENCE

Required: Ten (10) years of relevant experience in strategic sourcing or contract management, at the management level with experience at an organization of the size and complexity comparable to MD Anderson Cancer Center.

Preferred:

Two (2) years experience at the Director or above level in healthcare or large academic medical center.

Experience with State of Texas Sourcing and Contract practices.
