Job Description: We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Direct Care Worker to provide assistance and care for individuals with disabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of empathy, be patient, and have experience working with individuals who need personal care and daily living support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, bathing, eating, and mobility.
- Provide support with medication reminders and assist with managing health-related needs.
- Help clients with communication, socialization, and recreational activities.
- Ensure clients safety and well-being in a variety of settings.
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment.
- Develop and maintain positive, respectful relationships with clients and their families.
- Document and report any changes in the client's condition or behavior to supervisors and healthcare professionals.
- Follow all safety and hygiene guidelines to promote a healthy environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a caregiving role (preferred).
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to lift or assist with lifting clients as needed.
