Robert Half Desktop Support Analyst in Houston, Texas

Description We are on the hunt for a dedicated Desktop Support Analyst to join our team in Houston, Texas. This role will primarily involve providing level 1 help desk support, including setting up computers, resetting passwords, troubleshooting any hardware issues, and setting up new users in Active Directory and syncing to Office 365. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and is based 100% onsite, offering flexible hours within the range of 7am to 6pm.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 1 Help Desk support, addressing and resolving IT issues in a timely manner

• Set up computers for new users and assist in password resets

• Maintain and troubleshoot hardware as needed to ensure optimal performance

• Handle ticketing system, working efficiently to respond to all queries

• Set up new users in Active Directory and sync to Office 365

• Troubleshoot any issues with MS Office 365 for users

• Escalate complex IT issues to the Tier 2/3 support team as needed

• Basic understanding and ability to troubleshoot issues with Azure AD

• Possibility to delve into scripting in PowerShell, although not a mandatory requirement

• Maintain a high level of customer service and support for a large number of end users. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office 365.

• Proven experience with Active Directory.

• Strong skills in Hardware Troubleshooting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Desktop Support or a similar role.

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose technical issues.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks according to urgency and importance.

• Strong customer service skills and ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff.

• Experience with remote desktop applications and help desk software.

• Knowledge of network security practices and anti-virus programs.

• Ability to perform troubleshooting and repair of servers, networks, and systems.

• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.

• Willingness to keep up-to-date with the latest technology trends and innovations.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
