Aramark is currently seeking a Convention Services Manager to support NRG Stadium, home of the NFL Texans, in Houston, TX! The Convention Services Manager will work closely with the Sales Director to maintain catering accounts to meet or exceed budgeted revenue goals and to ultimately aid in conducting a successful event. The Convention Services Manager will be part of a team who sources, follows up and generates leads for selling functions.

Job Responsibilities

• Support catering food and beverage sales for events across NRG Park including the Stadium, Arena, and Convention Center

• Maintain and develop current client relationships

• Develop Banquet Event Orders and communicate effectively in BEO meetings

• Maximize revenue opportunities by up-selling and offering enhancements to exceed client expectations

• Collaborate with event planners on property to manage the event experience

• Support catering events onsite, additionally support operations as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related discipline preferred, OR equivalent professional experience required

• 1-3 years in hospitality industry, with experience in catering preferred

• Strong attention to detail, organizational, time management, project management, and presentation skills

• Experience utilizing basic computer software, Microsoft Office Suite, and Catering Management Systems

• Ability to effectively communicate with diverse clients and staff

• Knowledge of menu planning and food presentation

• Ability to balance multiple tasks while being creative and having a proactive approach to food and beverage sales

• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure, while handling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

• Demonstrated leadership qualities and comfortable making decisions

• Ability to take direction but also work independently

• Availability to work a flexible event schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
