Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) certification to lead and manage projects in the range of $10-30 million construction costs. As a key member of our team, you will focus on land repurposing projects, including site closures and landfill management. Your role will involve collaborating with various disciplines to ensure that the land is prepared for development. Specifically, you'll work closely with environmental experts to address environmental considerations, while also overseeing critical civil aspects such as drainage, compaction, and grading. Understanding the geotechnical subsurface behavior of the soil will be essential--whether it involves adding a clay layer, conducting necessary testing, or defining precise specifications.

Responsibilities:

1. Design (30%):

o Utilize your PE credentials to stamp and approve designs.

o Concentrate on grading plans, civil site planning, and drainage solutions.

2. Construction Management (50%):

o Oversee the entire construction phase, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.

o Assemble and lead project teams, collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs).

o Take ownership of the overall project execution.

3. Business Development (20%):

o Cultivate new opportunities and foster client relationships.

o Contribute to the growth and success of our organization.

Skills and Requirements

Skills & Experience:

1. Engineering Expertise:

o 10+ years of experience in civil design, permitting, and/or construction within the energy and infrastructure sectors.

o Demonstrated ability to actively develop and maintain client relationships.

2. Strategic Project Management:

o Proficiency in developing near-term and long-term project strategies.

o Effective communication of fit-for-purpose solutions to client challenges.

o Advocacy and engagement with multiple stakeholders to drive project progression.

3. Business Development Acumen:

o Skilled in business development activities.

o Utilizes standard tools and information to make tactical course corrections related to client selection, assignments, targeted opportunities, and proposal efforts.

4. Conflict Resolution:

o Ability to assess and resolve issues and conflicts both internally and externally.

5. Consulting Experience:

o Prior experience in a consulting firm.

Education:

* B.S. degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Environmental Engineering is preferred, or equivalent experience and education.

Professional Qualification:

* Professional Engineer (PE) certification is required. null
