Siemens Energy Cash Collections Analyst in Houston, Texas

A Snapshot of Your Day (position overview)

The Collection Department is responsible for collecting Siemens Energy’s Accounts Receivable in a timely fashion while providing that service in a coordinated customer service environment. It is our responsibility to report the status and trends of each Business unit's Accounts Receivables to the management of those BUs!

In this role, you are responsible for performing activities vital to collecting accounts receivable and converting the same to cash with an assigned portfolio of accounts. This is also performed under the direct supervision of the department manager. You will collaborate with internal and external customers in a knowledgeable and organized fashion on the status of the accounts and the business Accounts Receivable position.

The position reports to the North America Cash Collection Manager.

How You’ll Make an Impact (responsibilities)

  • Handles and collects assigned AR portfolios across business divisions and, Research and reconciles customer accounts.

  • Complete routine collection calls to determine payment status of accounts, ensuring timely payment of receivables and resolution of customer issues preventing payment.

  • Build and maintain strong working collaborations and customers to deliver the best total customer experience.

  • Understand customer infrastructure, and processes, and identify appropriate contacts to optimally address customer issues impacting payment performance.

  • Identifying at-risk customers and root causes of delinquency to manager.

  • Raise issues to the appropriate internal management level (Sales, Finance, Project Manager, Order Entry).

  • Identify and document customer disputes.

What You Bring (requirements)

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or Finance.

  • Minimum of 3+ years of business corporate collection experience.

  • Knowledge of billing & collection procedures

  • Solution-based mentality with strong initiative

  • Experience with SAP and Excel

  • Great teammate with the ability to share knowledge & information.

  • Ability to work with deadlines, prioritization, and organization of workload

  • Highly customer service oriented

  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
