Brice Civil Constructors, Inc. (Brice) is a proud subsidiary of the Calista Corporation, the second largest Alaska Native Corporation (ANC) with 37,300 shareholders and over $950 million in annual revenues. Brice performs large heavy civil construction operations to include large scale civil projects, drainage, repair of earthen dams and levees, roadways, bridges, airfields, parks, ranges, and stormwater management, water supply, wastewater collection, and on-site wastewater treatment systems for federal, states, and local entities.

We strive to hire tradesmen directly from the communities in which we work to leverage local knowledge and local relationships to successfully complete projects on schedule and within budget. From the earliest stages of project design, we involve the construction and commissioning teams to provide schedule efficiencies. Infrastructure and sitework are our strengths. Our companies have teamed together to build airport runways, wind farms, tank farms, and roads. We also build backup generator buildings, remove and replace water distribution systems, improve storm and sanitary sewers, install cellular radio towers, and raise dams.
How will you do it?
- The Carpenter is responsible for the full range of rough skilled carpentry work, using, or working from one or more blueprints, as-built, specifications, drawings, or instructions to design, build, retrofit, maintain, and construct various types of facilities and structures.
- You will use your leadership skills to monitor work done by outside contractors for adherence to contract requirements (including state and federal Code Requirements) and report back to the supervisor.
- Your attention to detail will be essential in inspections, testing, and reviewing of specifications for general carpentry project specification requirements.
- Your organizational skills will keep the schedule and financial objectives in check while controlling time and expenditure to achieve project goals. This includes taking responsibility for their actions and the actions of their team and being able to hold themselves and others accountable for meeting project goals and deadlines.
- Your ability to review and assist in inspections, testing, and reviewing of specifications for general carpentry project requirements.
- Your safety acumen will develop and manage site safety plans. This includes knowledge about safety regulations and procedures and ensuring that the team follows protocols to maintain a safe work environment.

- You have a comprehensive knowledge and expertise for conducting skilled labor to complete skilled carpentry/structural work according to instructions and project specifications, as well as relevant technical skills and experience to mentor junior staff.
- Your excellent communication skills will effectively convey information, provide feedback, and maintain open lines of communication with your team and other stakeholders.
- You have experience with adapting to changing circumstances and adjusting plans and strategies as needed to ensure project success.

- You thrive on your writing skills with the ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely.
- You have a high school diploma or equivalent required.
- You have Four years of master-level experience working as a carpenter in heavy highway or structural operations, commercial, industrial, or military construction operations settings, including rough Carpentry.
- Your experience in federal government projects is highly desired.
- Ability to pass drug and background screening.
