About this role:

Be a foundational part of our new Business Development team's success story! The Business Development Representative role is an exciting opportunity to start a sales career at GoCo and eventually grow into a closing role. In this position you will have an impact on our organization through increasing the top of the sales funnel by providing inspiring messaging to intentful leads through various tools such as 6Sense, Sales Navigator, and Hubspot. This role is responsible for qualifying and scheduling these leads with Account Executives. We are excited to have someone who is energized by the competitive nature of sales, and perseveres when facing rejection. Because we are a small tech start-up, your contributions will have a high impact on the business giving you great purpose. You will be part of our Sales team, reporting to the Business Development Manager.

What will I be doing?

  • Utilize tools to craft messaging and efficient outreach cadences

  • Conduct introductory phone calls to uncover business opportunities

  • Setting product demo appointments

  • Staying organized and metric driven with proper logging of activity in CRM

  • Collecting feedback on product value and sales approach with aim to iterate and improve

    Necessary Skills

  • Previous outbound inside sales representative experience in a meeting setting role

  • Experience within the SaaS industry

  • Strong communication skills with a positive attitude and high energy

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Experience with CRM is a plus, we use HubSpot

  • Strong desire to expand and acquire new skills

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic startup environment

  • Local to the Houston and Boston area. While the role is a remote first role, the team meets in person twice per week
