SANI-WELD INCORPORATED Business Development Manager in HOUSTON, Texas
Sani-Weld serves businesses and industries of all types, including major oil and gas production firms, food service manufacturers/packers, and health care enterprises. Our company specializes in metal custom fabrication, laser cutting, welding (both in-shop and on-site), machining, and polishing. A Business Development Manager should know programs such as: JobBOSS, Microsoft Access, and AutoCAD.
- Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and prospects.
Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, or in-person.
Act as the first point of contact for customers seeking quotes, information, and technical support.
- Sales and Lead Generation:
Generate new business opportunities by identifying and qualifying leads in the welding and fabrication market.
Reach out to potential clients to promote products and services.
Follow up on leads and close sales to meet monthly or quarterly sales targets.
- Quote and Proposal Preparation:
Prepare accurate and detailed quotes based on customer specifications.
Work closely with the production and engineering teams to ensure that quotes align with capabilities and lead times.
Negotiate pricing and terms within company guidelines to secure business.
- Order Processing and Coordination:
Process customer orders, ensuring timely entry into the system and accurate tracking of deliveries.
Coordinate with shop floor staff and production to meet customer timelines and specifications.
Monitor the status of orders and communicate any delays or issues to customers.
- Product Knowledge and Technical Support:
Stay up to date on the companys products, services, and capabilities.
Provide customers with technical information regarding welding processes, materials, and product offerings.
Assist customers in selecting the right materials or products for their needs.
- Inventory and Pricing Management:
Keep track of stock levels and inform the purchasing department of any shortages.
Ensure pricing information is accurate and up to date in the system.
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and product availability.
- Sales Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and communications.
Provide regular reports on sales progress, opportunities, and feedback to management.
Track customer feedback and assist in identifying opportunities for improvement in products or services.
- Collaboration and Teamwork:
Work closely with the operations and production teams to ensure customer expectations are met.
Coordinate with the shipping department to ensure on-time delivery.
Attend team meetings and contribute to the shops overall growth and customer satisfaction.
- Market Research:
Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and customer demands.
Use market insights to suggest new services or improvements that could benefit the company.
- Administrative Support:
Perform other administrative tasks related to sales, such as filing paperwork, updating customer accounts, and maintaining an organized sales database.
This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and has a good understanding/experience in welding fabrication processes, as well as strong communication skills to effectively manage relationships with clients.
