This Direct Hire Position is being recruited by Adecco Staffing for one of our Houston, TX clients.

Qualifications

Branch Manager (Air Freight / Hazmat) Job description

• Oversee all operations and activities of the branch

• Develop a successful sales strategy and engage with customers effectively / Daily Sales meetings

• Develop and implement strategies to achieve branch goals and targets

• Lead and motivate a team of employees to ensure high performance and productivity

• Monitor and manage branch budget, expenses, and profit loss Identify business development opportunities and implement strategies to drive growth

• Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and stakeholders, airlines

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations (DOT/IATA//TSA/PHMSA)

• Implement process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency

• Provide regular reports and updates to senior management

• Assist in Opening the US office for international business.

• Evaluating new customer potential

• Working with TSA to obtain the IAC Certification for Shipping Airfreight.

• Dealing with security / TSA and Customs officials

• Pricing and File handling for project shipments

• Create and negotiate accounts with airlines and trucker's requirements Requirements:

• Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably in a similar industry (minimum five years)

• Strong business development skills with a track record of achieving sales targets

• Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

• Strategic thinking and planning abilities to drive the success of the branch

• Strong supervisory skills with the ability to effectively manage a team

• Proficient in financial analysis and managing profit loss

• Ability to identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• IATA/DOT Hazmat certified (preferred)

• Health and Safety knowledge Important notice: Candidates needing prior Airfreight experience will be automatically accepted.
