We are a growing company in East Downtown Houston, and Dayton TX area. We specialize in working on Class 8 semi-trucks and trailers for the construction industry such as dump trucks, water trucks, vacuum trucks, and hydrovacs.

We are looking to add an experienced Body Shop Technician to our team. The primary duties will include Modifying, repairing, and painting aluminum and fiberglass truck cabs, general body work, paint, and fiberglass. Qualified candidates will be able to work with our metal fabricators to construct custom body panels from measurements and/or templates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Repair and Maintenance:Perform repairs on damaged truck bodies, including structural and cosmetic repairs.
• Fabrication and Modification:Modify and fabricate aluminum and fiberglass truck body components as needed to meet customer specifications and company standards. We are converting many of our truck bodies from sleeper cabs to day cabs. This involves mechanical aptitude, and the ability to carefully craft body panels, and install in OEM fashion.
• Painting and Finishing:Prepare surfaces for painting, apply paint, and finish truck bodies to a high standard.
• Inspection and Quality Control:Conduct thorough inspections of completed work to ensure quality and adherence to safety standards.
• Collaboration:Work collaboratively with other technicians and team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
• Tool and Equipment Maintenance:Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and report any issues to the supervisor.
• Documentation:Accurately document all work performed, including parts used and time spent on each task.

Qualifications:

• Valid Drivers License
• Reliable transportation
• Experience:Minimum of 2 years of experience as a body shop technician, knowledge of fiberglass repair.
• Technical Skills:Proficiency in using body shop tools and equipment. Welding is also a plus but not required.
• Knowledge:Strong understanding of fiberglass/sheet metal, repair techniques, and materials.
• Attention to Detail:Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Physical Stamina:Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.
• Communication:Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Safety:Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols.

Education and Certifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Relevant technical certifications or training in body shop repair and maintenance are preferred.

Job Type:Full-time

Salary:$18-$36 per hour.
