Description

Our client is seeking a talented Accounts Payable Specialist with advanced Excel skills to join their team in a contract-to-hire capacity. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a growing organization that values efficiency, collaboration, and attention to detail. This role is 100% onsite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process high-volume invoices with accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring timely payment to vendors.

  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies to maintain positive vendor relationships.

  • Perform advanced Excel functions, including the creation and analysis of pivot tables and the use of VLOOKUP to support reconciliation and reporting processes.

  • Assist in the preparation of month-end and year-end close activities.

  • Maintain and organize financial records to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

  • Support ad-hoc reporting requests and provide financial data analyses as needed.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the accounting and finance teams to improve processes and workflows.

    Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in accounts payable or accounting roles, with a strong understanding of AP processes.

  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel, specifically pivot tables and VLOOKUP, with the ability to manipulate and analyze large datasets.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced setting.

  • Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to handle invoice discrepancies efficiently.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with team members and external partners.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of compliance reporting and financial reporting standards.

  • Experience working in industries such as construction, financial services, or manufacturing is advantageous.

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (preferred but not required).
