The Subcontractor Payable Specialist is a crucial role responsible for managing and processing subcontractor payments within the organization. The ideal candidate is a proactive, task-oriented individual with strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. This position requires effective communication and interpersonal abilities, as you will engage with various levels of the organization and vendors. Key duties include processing subcontractor invoices, executing payments via checks and ACH, maintaining payment-related notices and liens, and reconciling monthly statements and job costs. Additionally, the role involves assisting with bank reconciliations, maintaining contracts and change orders, cross-training in Accounts Payable and Payroll, and rotating phone answering duties. If you are detail-oriented and thrive in a collaborative environment, this role offers the opportunity to contribute significantly to the financial operations of the company.

Responsibilities

Printing Subcontractor invoices from Billing Email

Processing Subcontractor invoices

Processing the payments via Checks and ACH to Subcontractor

Maintaining Notices/Liens regarding payments to Subcontractor

Answering Subcontractor inquires via email and telephone

Reconciling Subcontractor monthly statements

Maintaining Contracts, Change Orders, and Joint Check Agreements

Reconciling Subcontractor invoices to Change Orders

Reconciling Subcontractor Job Cost to General Ledger Accounts

Assisting with Bank Reconciliations

Cross Training with Accounts Payable and Payroll

Rotation of answering phones

Filing Subcontractor payments
