Join us in a pivotal role as an Operational Accounting Specialist within a dynamic unit. The primary focus? Our portfolio of large-scale, cutting-edge renewables projects.

Your Mission:

• Establish a synergy with Asset Management and Maintenance teams to ensure the precision of solar asset accounting is never compromised.

• Play an instrumental role in the monthly and annual closing rituals for chosen entities, weaving together journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and sprinkling some magic to the reporting needs.

• Concoct and roll out detailed budget-to-actual analysis for each star in our asset galaxy. Serve a timely dose of such reports requested by our partners while working in tandem with the Asset Manager to comprehend variances and put corrective plans into action.

• Delve deep and own each entity’s business operations, becoming the finance department's trusted liaison for our esteemed project companies.

• Erect efficient project finance and accounting processes, ensuring a silky transition of finance for assets leaping from the drawing board to the operational field.

• Keep an eagle eye on intercompany transactions, innovating monthly reconciliation templates that streamline elimination and consolidation.

• Monitor all commitments and payment obligations for our studded solar assets, maintaining records that are nothing short of perfection.

• Spearhead regular brainstorming sessions with asset management and maintenance teams, steering portfolio status discussions, reviewing commitments, receivables, and overseeing the cash flow across our star-studded assets.

• Support the annual budgeting process and long-term strategies for our assets in collaboration with financial planning and asset management teams.

• Foster amicable relationships with the Treasury department for all things cash – management, debt payments, partnership distributions, and spontaneous requests.

Your Impact:

As the linchpin that supports growth within the finance sector, you'd interact with professionals across verticals to drive operational accounting activities on a highway of efficiency.

Your Achievements:

Working on a project-level, you will manage the finance activities for a plethora of assets, ensuring the general ledger for each entity paints a clear picture of all transactions. Your duties would extend to control and track the payment and revenue streams for all our shining assets.

Who we're looking for:

• A finance guru with at least 5 years of accounting experience.

• An individual who wields a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.

• A whiz at accounting, with a firm grip over finance reporting.

• A Microsoft Excel maestro.

• Someone who's tongue can charm the birds from the tree with excellent communication skills.

• A problem-solver with the mind of Sherlock Holmes.

• A deadline conqueror with the perseverance and the planning skills to ensure nothing but smooth sailing during close processes.

Requirements - Deep understanding of technical accounting

  • Foundational knowledge in Intercompany Accounting

  • Solid understanding of financial reporting

  • Internal Financial Reporting experience required

  • High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills

  • Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued

  • Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

  • 5+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

  • Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

  • Exceptional time management skills preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

  • Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines

  • Proven analytical skills - defining problems, collecting relevant data, drawing valid conclusions, and recommending improvement/corrective actions

  • Current and relevant ERP system experience

  • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
