We are excited to announce CCPRS won the next 5 - year contract for Public Assistance Technical Assistance Contract V (PA TAC V) in the West zones (e.g., Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, California, Arizona, Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, Guam, Hawaii, Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, and Missouri). Through CCPRS, SOL Engineering Services, LLC is looking for you to provide technical support assistant for FEMA disaster related operations throughout the U.S. FEMA uses the PA TAC nationally to obtain the following labor categories: Environment/General Planners, Engineers (all disciplines), Construction Managers/Inspectors/Estimators, Project Managers, Financial Analysts, as well as other related professional services to assist state, local, municipalities and public entities in developing grant applications for Federal Public Assistance Funding for the repair of their infrastructure and facilities damage by natural disasters.

SOL Engineering Services, LLC is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior-Level Structural Engineer to join our team at FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) in support of the Public Assistance (PA) Program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering, with significant experience in assessing and mitigating damage to buildings and infrastructure caused by disasters. The role will primarily focus on providing technical expertise and support to FEMA's PA Program, specifically in the evaluation, design, and implementation of structural repair and retrofit projects. If you have previous FEMA experience or relevant experience working as a structural Engineer or a related field of expertise and you are currently living in an area listed below or have the availability to deploy, please submit your resume.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Public Assistance (PA) Experience is in high demand for deployment considerations and is required by FEMA. Experience must be 1 or more years of deployment regional, state or local level.

Here's What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering with 10 years of experience in a related field and be a licensed Professional Engineer or bachelor's degree with 15 years of experience in a related field.

  • Must be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE).

  • Conduct detailed assessments of buildings, bridges, and other structures impacted by disasters to evaluate the extent of damage, structural integrity, and safety risks. Identify structural deficiencies and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.

  • Perform structural analysis and calculations to assess the capacity, stability, and performance of damaged structures. Develop retrofit designs, repair solutions, and construction plans in accordance with applicable building codes, standards, and best practices.

  • Develop detailed designs, specifications, and scopes of work for structural repair and retrofit projects. Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with project requirements and regulatory standards.

  • Manage a portfolio of structural engineering projects within the FEMA PA Program, including project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and quality assurance. Coordinate with FEMA personnel, applicants, and contractors to facilitate the timely completion of projects.

    Idea Candidate will have FEMA PA experience, but not required. :

  • Deployed as a Site Inspector on DR-4332-TX, coordinated with other PA staff involved in the PA Program delivery process for Applicant and performed accurate quantification and detailed description of disaster related damage, including debris.

  • Significant focus and experience in providing excellent customer service, attention to detail and must have excellent communication (writing and verbal) skills.

  • Prior experience in the PA Program: Site Inspectors, Program Delivery Managers, Public Assistance Coordinator (PAC) Crew Leader, Project Specialist, Debris Specialist, Debris Monitor, FEMA-certified Trainer, Hazard Mitigation Specialist (Sections 404 and 406), or Long-Term Community Recovery Program Specialist.

  • Trainings completed in Program Delivery Manager training, Site Inspector training, Public Assistance Operations I (PA Ops I), Public Assistance Operations II (PA Ops II), Project Worksheet (PW) Development, Cost Estimating Format (CEF), Debris Management/Operations, and/or 406 Hazard Mitigation.
