What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

What needs to be done?

• Builds technical capability in manufacturing.

• Establish process and working methodologies for new products.

• Understanding the process of manufacturing and support the production team based on requirement.

• Designs and implements Lean processes and systems to enhance operational efficiency.

• Wide knowledge in machine shop operations.

• Keeps abreast with relevant manufacturing technology and upgrades operations.

• Layout preparation and modification based on development projects.

• Supports Supply chain team to improve supplier capabilities.

• Spearhead HBE initiatives.

• Championing product improvement events including VA / VE initiatives.

• Identify key roles and plan to provide RCCM training/coaching.

• Champion PEP process

Your Education Should Be…

Essential Skills, and Knowledge Required

• Graduate Engineer in Mechanical / Production Stream.

• Experience of working in a customized / engineered to order business leading manufacturing engineering function.

• Experience of implementing continuous improvement techniques built on the principles of lean manufacturing, with demonstrable results derived from their application in a low volume manufacturing environment.

• Exposure to TQM principles.

• Experience of working as a team leader of a cross functional team and/or demonstrated leadership of major projects or programs in a team environment.

• Knowledge of Fabrication Processes and Technology.

• Prior experience of developing and managing Capital Budgets.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills – able to communicate at all levels of the organization.

• Computer literate in Microsoft Office Software including Word, Excel, Projects, and Outlook.

• Working knowledge of ERP system

• Demonstrated teamwork and team building skills in producing results and meeting organizational objectives.

Accountabilities

• Develops and implements Technology Roadmap for the Plant.

• Develops and facilitates implementation of LCRM Roadmap.

• Conducts various Kaizen events and follows up on actions to improve the Factory Operations.

• Develops Welding and Fabrication Capability.

• Supports Sourcing Team to improve Supplier Technical Capabilities.

• Develops and implements Capital Budgets for Business as Usual and Special Projects.

• Promotes safety through active participation and support of company policies and procedures, in addition to initiating corrective action for recognized unsafe conditions or hazards.

• Embrace and implement HBE tools and Howden values in all aspects of this role.
