This is a critical role supporting our Oncology (Hematology) business. This leader will be responsible for creating sustainable advanced analytics solutions (including AI/ML) to solve complex unmet needs for our customers, influence decision-making at senior levels, uncover and drive revenue and share growth, and advance our commercial model. The ideal candidate is proficient in understanding real-world application of data sciences and advanced analytics with experience working across diverse teams to help bridge technology, commercial and data teams.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for planning, directing, overseeing and providing thought leadership for advanced analytical solutions including machine learning and artificial intelligence that aligns with business strategy, are forward looking, and use tools and methods to track, report and analyze results

  • Development of a credo-based company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, key employee retention and development, and high performance.

  • Lead a team of highly skilled and specialized data science and analytics talent in testing, implementing, measuring, scaling and maintaining analytics deliverables to inform critical business decisions through transformative analytics.

  • Cultivate relationships and drive project management with external vendors, sales leadership, brand teams, Commercial Strategy & Operations etc.

  • Be a prescriptive consultant to the business, proactively identifying and developing solutions to bring continual impact and innovation to Johnson & Johnson

  • Serve as a talent accelerator who will acquire, nurture and develop best in class data science and analytics talent

  • Lead budget management, resource allocation, project prioritization and scenario planning across the team

  • Develop compelling and succinct presentations of analytical solutions to drive clear understanding and ensure stakeholder buy-in

  • Lead development and consultancy of Investment Mix Models (IMx) to provide insights and recommendations to optimize commercial investment and resource allocation

Qualifications

Education:

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree in a field such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Econometrics is preferred

Experience and Skills:

  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant business experience in analytics, management consulting or related field is required (commercially relevant experience preferred)

  • Ability to translate business questions into analytics techniques (regression classification, NLP, etc.) and interpret outcomes of analytical models into meaningful business insights and actionable recommendations is required

  • Expert knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (model selection and hypothesis testing, statistical inference, promotional response modeling etc.) and experience with real-world applications is required

  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques (e.g., supervised, unsupervised, deep learning) and their real-world advantages and drawbacks is required

  • Expertise in domain specific data sets of pharma and specialty pharmacy data sources (including RWE, Patient level data, & sales data sources) is required

  • Excellent communication skills (written and presentation) are required

  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is required

  • Outstanding interpersonal relationship building, and employee coaching and development skills is required

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a department and department staff members is preferred

  • Ability to influence all levels of the organization and to engage across a broad range of business partners and functions is required

  • Pharmaceutical experience is preferred

Other:

  • This position is based in Horsham, PA and will require up to 15% domestic travel

  • The anticipated base pay range for this position is $132K to $202K USD.

  • The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
