What are my responsibilities?
As a Material Conformance Specialist, you work under supervision and perform clerical duties that involve application of standard practices and require the understanding of operations in assigned area of the Material Conformance Administration (MCA) Department.
Your responsibilities include:
Entering, creating, updating and maintaining the non-conformance report/ database for non-conforming material
Inventory transaction (i.e. bin to bins, issue tickets, shop to shops, reversal tickets, receipt reversals)
Following the MCA process according to disposition
Communicating with suppliers to get return information such as Return Authorization number, shipping information, shipping account numbers, etc.
Fielding all questions internally and externally to expedite non-conforming material
Maintaining records of all non-conformance reports and pertinent data
Addressing Immediate Action Reports and bring them to closure to clear up accounting problems with invoices
Addressing Over, Short and Damage Reports to clear up receiving inventory problems
Negotiating repair/replacement costs with suppliers and add these costs to the B-lines for the purchase orders
Coordinating extra meetings with functional departments to review their open issues
Obtaining miscellaneous documents from suppliers to bring closure to non-conformance reports such as Certificates of Compliance, tracking information to ALSTOM, credit memos, bar-code labels, etc.
Obtaining Parts of Assemblies and any other missing items from suppliers to bring closure to non-conformance reports, which involves obtaining quotes, and negotiating with supplier and internal buyer (if necessary)- on price and lead time.
Any and all other responsibilities, in addition to those mentioned above, as assigned by supervisor/manager. Any interpretation/clarification with responsibilities above will be settled by the supervisor/manager. In this role, you are expected to communicate effectively with suppliers, and different metiers, while being skilled in data base management.
High School Diploma
Proficient in Microsoft Office
1-3 years of experience
