Job Summary:

The Senior Web Application Developer provides essential support in the Operational Applications Work Center, focusing on Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of existing applications and the development of new applications across multiple classification domains. This role includes crafting detailed software development project plans and ensuring adherence to J66 standards for programming languages and databases unless deviations are authorized.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops new applications according to project plans that comply with DoD security requirements and coding standards.

  • Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and fixing issues within O&M custom web applications, ensuring all changes are documented and coordinated through the J6 Operational Applications work center

  • Manages the entire lifecycle of applications from the initial customer request to delivery and follow-on maintenance, ensuring projects adhere closely to baselined timelines

  • Conducts feasibility studies for major O&M work and new service requests, providing results within five business days, and regularly updating project documentation

  • Meets with customers, providing project progress demonstrations, conducting software testing and evaluations, and ensuring the delivery of the final product with customer sign-off

  • Creates user manuals and system documentation for new applications, provide training using PACOM standard office applications, and submit monthly status reports detailing project progress, incident handling, and any issues requiring government action. This position is pivotal in ensuring that web applications meet operational needs and security standards effectively and efficiently

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Active Secret clearance

  • IAW DoDM 8410.03, must meet intermediate proficiency level

  • Must possess on of the following 8570 IAT-II certifications:

  • CCNA Security

  • CySA+ (Cybersecurity Analyst)

  • GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional)

  • GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials Certification)

  • Security+ CE

  • SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner)

  • Four years of web application development and programming

  • Experience using Microsoft .NET platform with backend database, Microsoft Power Platform, Microsoft Azure DevOps, Microsoft Visual Studio, and Containerized .NET Applications

  • Experience using Microsoft Office 365 tools (Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)

  • Microsoft Project will be the main tool for tracking projects

Desired Qualifications:

  • Microsoft SharePoint experience is desired for keeping all project related documents to share with team members and leadership.

Posted Salary Range

106000 to 118000
