Queen's Health System Rev Cycle Operations Analyst (Full-Time, 40, Day) in Honolulu, Hawaii
RESPONSIBILITIES
I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Works across all holistic Revenue Cycle areas of responsibility with a focus on data analytics, business applications, continuous process improvement/program management, training, revenue cycle policy development, and denials management.
• Assists the organization in implementing recommendations to strengthen Revenue Cycle.
• Works with departments, clinics, business partners, and management to develop action plans and implement solutions.
• Coordinates Revenue Cycle training and education and works with facility and clinic leadership to monitor key performance indicators and improve revenue cycle performance.
• Evaluates and monitors projects and programs to ensure adherence to established plans as well as ensure business goals and objectives are met.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking.
• Continuous: sitting, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods.
• Frequent: walking.
• Occasional: standing, stooping/bending, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, lifting and carrying usual weight of 1 pound up to 5 pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, frequent gripping of an object.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business, economics, finance, healthcare administration, public health administration or related field; or four (4) years experience in a directly related field may be substituted for the educational requirement.
B. EXPERIENCE:
• In addition to the educational requirement, two (2) years analytical support and/or revenue cycle operations experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Thorough understanding of reporting methodologies, including quantitative and revenue cycle performance analysis, trending and identifying issues.
• Ability to implement effective training and process improvement programs.
• Ability to express complex analytical and technical information to senior management or to audiences with clinical training.
• Ability to work with and effectively train various levels of personnel.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, time management, critical thinking skills, and problem solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, Outlook).
• Fundamental knowledge of Revenue Cycle business applications and bolt-on technology enablers preferred.
• Experience with analytical manipulation and interpretation of large databases preferred.
• Project management experience preferred.
