V2X Project Coordinator in Honolulu, Hawaii

Under the supervision of the Construction Manager, the Project Coordinator performs a wide variety of administrative and coordination duties related to all aspects of the Construction Team. The Project Coordinator provides support to project supervisors, construction managers, engineering personnel and subcontractors as well as assisting in the development of technical documents to include, but not limited to SOWs, RFPs, ROMs, technical volumes, and project field assessments. The Project Coordinator participates in project planning, manages the submittal register, assists in obtaining permits, performs procurement support and other preconstruction activities. The Project Coordinator will be required to track projects, costs, schedule and performance as needed throughout the entirety of the projects, as well as provide document control. The Project Coordinator is also responsible for the production and submission of various project, production, compliance and operational reports.

Responsibilities

  • Involved in all aspects of the project lifecycle from initiation through close-out.

  • Communicates effectively with various stakeholders to manage expectations and maintain positive relationships.

  • Assists and/or performs coordination of site visits, inspections and meetings with subcontractors and stakeholders.

  • Attends project meetings, facilitates meeting agenda preparation, takes minutes, produces and distributes final meeting minutes inclusive of on-site meetings

  • Assists in developing and/or producing documents to support and complete projects

  • Participates in preconstruction planning to include development of schedule, submittal registry, risk register, permit requirements, etc

  • Tracks submittals, reporting, surveys, permits, project schedule, and budget.

  • Performs procurement support as directed.

  • Monitors project productivity and performance metrics and ensures compliance with requirements.

  • Produces and submits various project and operational reports as required.

  • Prepares and distributes project communication with customers, management, integrated project teams, and stakeholders.

  • Provides document control, filing and distribution of project related internal and external documents, including but not limited to construction and inspection reports, submittals, permits, facility access documents, etc.

  • Ensures project files are kept up to date and turned over to the customer upon Project closeout.

  • Conducts project closeout activities.

  • Provide input to develop and implement continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance operations

  • Adhere to company safety standards and promote safety culture among employees and subcontractors

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education:

  • Associate’s degree in related field.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Certifications/Licenses:

  • PMP Certification preferred.

  • Specific:

  • Must be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) or DBIDS Card

  • Must be able to clear background checks for access to secure work sites.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Must have a valid US driver’s license

  • Experience:

  • 3-5+ years' of Construction industry or project management experience performing related functions is required, such as: project controls, project coordinator, construction administration or similar position.

  • Must have working knowledge of project management and a basic familiarity with construction processes and techniques.

  • Government, military, or significant business experience preferred.

  • Experience in data collection and technical writing preferred.

  • Experience supporting DOD construction efforts a positive.

  • Skills

  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills

  • High level computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook, and Word

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as the ability to perform technical writing such as statements of work (SOW).

  • Familiarity with construction-related processes, as well as a thorough knowledge of industry best practices.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.

  • Knowledge of principles and processes involved in supporting contract responsibilities in a DOD/DOS or Military type environment.

  • In-depth understanding of project management processes and tools to include scheduling software

  • Possess a thorough understanding of submittal processes.

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions.

  • Cross cultural sensitivity with an international perspective
