POSITION SUMMARY

This position includes duties and responsibilities essential to the Department of Psychiatry to coordinate administration, mainly HR actions. This position may work remotely from home as approved by the manager/supervisor.

LOCATION:Queen's Medical Center, University Tower/Remote

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

  • This position includes duties and responsibilities essential to the Department of Psychiatry in administration, mainly for human resources related actions.
  • Serves as the human resources and department liaison, and consults with other HR offices for various employers on policies and procedures related to those employed by that employer.
  • Process human resources actions as requested by the Chair, AC of Administration, Principal Investigator, and others as needed.
  • Create and maintain contact / resource lists, timelines, policies and procedures, program description, etc related to human resources related actions.
  • Answers emails and phone calls in a timely manner.
  • Complete and submit accurate and complete documentation as required in a timely manner.
  • This position provides support to faculty and staff as needed.
  • Complies with all legal requirements and company policies.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education/Training/

Experience

Minimum:

  • Bachelors of Arts degree in a medical related field or similar degree
  • At least 1 year of experience processing Human Resources related actions.
  • Experience in working with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience in project management and coordination.
  • Experience in implementing administrative policies and procedures (PandP), standard operational procedures (SOP), or departmental guidelines.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of University/JABSOM and affiliated sites policies and procedures.
  • 1+ years of experience in mental/behavioral health or academic education area.
