Description

We are inviting applications for the role of a Controller based in Honolulu, Hawaii. This position falls within the finance and accounting industry and is vital for ensuring the smooth operation of our financial activities. The individual stepping into this role will be responsible for overseeing financial transactions, maintaining financial records, and coordinating with other team members to ensure the accuracy of financial data. Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the general ledger and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.

• Conduct bank reconciliations on a regular basis to verify the accuracy of our financial records.

• Process Accounts Payable (AP), ensuring all payments to vendors and service providers are made in a timely manner.

• Prepare and post journal entries to record company transactions and ensure the accuracy of our financial data.

• Conduct regular reviews and audits of our financial systems and processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes where necessary.

• Collaborate with other team members to prepare financial reports and statements, providing accurate and up-to-date financial information to management.

• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.

• Coordinate with external auditors during audits, providing all necessary information and clarifying any queries about our financial records.

• Monitor our financial position and performance, identifying trends and making recommendations to improve our financial health.

• Develop and implement effective financial policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our financial operations.

Requirements

• Possession of a Bachelors / Honours Degree in a related field

• Proven experience in managing a General Ledger

• Proficiency in conducting Bank Reconciliations

• Ability to manage Accounts Payable (AP) effectively

• Experience in recording and maintaining Journal Entries

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office applications

• Solid understanding of financial and accounting principles

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines

• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity
