We are in search of a tenured individual who has in depth experience in Materials Engineering who has technical expertise in materials science and business development. This is a leadership based position for a groundbreaking company located in Hawaii!

This position allows for relocation, but a letter of intent submitted to the Actalent Honolulu office is needed for applications to be considered.

As the Advanced Materials Product Innovation Manager, you will be responsible for managing and leading technical teams in the advanced materials group to:

• Align innovation and product delivery and schedules with customer demands;

• Collaborate to develop innovative ideas and technologies;

• Pursue funding and engage in proposal activities;

• Ensure quality and timely deliverables for the group.

You will inspire and oversee teams to innovate and advance technological capabilities in materials science and energy engineering. This role is pivotal in driving growth through transformative research and development initiatives, through to product development and delivery.

THE VALUE YOU BRING:

• Strategic Leadership: Lead and direct the development and execution of strategic initiatives in materials innovation and energy technologies. Mentor and guide a diverse team of engineers and scientists, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

• Innovation and Research: Drive the creation and implementation of new technologies and methodologies in materials science and energy engineering.

• Business Development: Collaborate with business development teams to identify and pursue new opportunities for growth and expansion in materials and energy markets.

• Technical Expertise: Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in materials science and energy technologies, applying insights to enhance capabilities.

THE EXPERTISE WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• Educational Background : Master’s degree (Ph.D. preferred) in materials, energy, chemical, mechanical, and/or related engineering field required OR Bachelor’s degree in materials, energy, chemical, mechanical, and/or related engineering field PLUS at least 5 years of scientific or engineering experience.

• Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in people and project management, with a strong background in program management and organizational leadership required.
