We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor in the non-profit industry, based in Honolulu, Hawaii. This role involves overseeing all financial and accounting operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and coordinating audit activities. Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounts and ledgers, ensuring adherence to GAAP standards and regulatory requirements

• Manage internal control and safeguards for revenue receipt, cost, and program budgets

• Prepare monthly invoices and GET returns

• Coordinate all audit activities and ensure flawless audits

• Review all procedures and policies annually, in coordination with the HR department

• Analyze financial data consistently, including monthly investment review

• Present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner, clearly communicating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

• Monitor progress and changes, keeping senior leadership abreast of the foundation's financial status

• Oversee all financial, project, program, and grants accounting, ensuring expenditures align with grant and program budgets

• Analyze all grants and contracts for risk and profitability, including analysis of internal operations and indirect costs

• Handle preparation of all related financial documents and filings required in the normal course of business.

Requirements

• Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Should have a comprehensive understanding of Accounting Software Systems

• Expected to have proficiency in all Accounting Functions

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required

• Knowledge and experience in Auditing procedures is essential

• Familiarity with Billing Functions is necessary

• Ability to perform Analysis on financial data is crucial

• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• A minimum of five years of experience in a similar role in the Non-Profit sector is preferred

• Should have strong leadership skills and the ability to supervise a team

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required

• Should have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions

• Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines

• A professional accounting certification such as CPA is preferred.
