We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity in the Restaurants & Catering industry in Honolulu, Hawaii. We are looking for an Accountant who can handle a variety of accounting functions. The successful candidate will be joining a dynamic team and will play a key role in ensuring the financial integrity of our operations. If interested, please call us at 808-531-8056. Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily sales and cash transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness

• Investigate and rectify any discrepancies that may arise in financial records

• Manage the posting of journal entries to keep financial records updated

• Conduct account reconciliation tasks to confirm the accuracy of transactions

• Execute month-end close processes to finalize monthly financial records

• Handle accounts payable, ensuring all invoices are paid in a timely manner

• Utilize Accounting Software Systems and Excel to maintain financial data and create reports

• Perform Sales Analysis & Reporting to aid in business decision making

• Use your knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) and Auditing to maintain financial integrity

• Carry out Cash Posting and Cash Reconciliations to manage company funds effectively

• Undertake other duties as assigned to support the financial operations of the company.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Knowledge of Auditing practices and principles

• Ability to perform Cash Posting

• Experience in Cash Reconciliations

• Familiarity with Daily Cash Receipts management

• Proficiency in Sales Analysis & Reporting

• Ability to Research Discrepancies

• Experience in resolving Discrepancies

• Skill in Account Reconciliation

• Experience in Month End Close activities

• Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant and catering environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
