The Product Manager position will be responsible for commercializing, managing and driving market growth through a combination of earn share, upgrade and market expansion activities. For the assigned products, this position will also work upstream and downstream with global/regional/local teams to plan and execute new products launches and product upgrades. This position will also create and manage promotional materials for the responsible products as well as organizing and managing promotional and educational events.

Job Description:

  • Apply functional Product Management knowledge to carry out daily operations under close supervision.

  • Conduct simple analysis to create reports on consumer behavior, product performance, and market trends.

  • Research new Product Management techniques and communicates findings to internal teams for further evaluation.

  • Assist with creating presentations to illustrate progress on product developments and prepare for product launches.

  • Conduct simple pricing calculations for new products to determine product value based on market assessments.

  • Understand and apply Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in day-to-day interactions with team.

  • Be part of a highly motivated and passionate team focused in developing and leading strategic marketing plans and campaigns for current and new products to drive business growth.

  • Define business goals, aligned with overall business strategies.

  • Work closely with sales team to understand, anticipate customer needs through analyzing market trends to shape your strategies identify new opportunities.

  • Develop value proposition (positioning, pricing and promotion) for new product introductions

  • Analyze and present appropriate opportunities through portfolio review to the management board

  • Ensure business continuity through demand planning and forecasting activities, and ownership of communication business progress or opportunities with senior management.

  • Develop strong relationships and credibility with Sales, KOLs, through product and competitive knowledge.

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to make sure all plans and strategies are aligned to meet business goals.

  • Conducting product technical training (supported by commercial education)

Job requirement:

To excel in this role, you will have a proven track record of success within your previous and current role.

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the local healthcare system, including the various stakeholders and commercial processes through previous field experience.

  • Think strategically about the portfolio of products and use sound judgment and business acumen to make commercialization and product management decisions.

  • Effective prioritization is critical skill to enable you to work with efficiency and focus

  • Have a good project management mindset, proactively seek to plan, be action-oriented and maintain ownership.

  • Establish relationships with critical stakeholders both internally and externally in order to drive your plans and strategies forward.

  • Be an effective communicator who can present in an a clear, engaging and inspiring manner and adept at pitching to internal teams and customers to drive excitement for new launches.

  • Maintain deep clinical expertise in procedure and product knowledge to ensure strategies maintain relevance to market demands.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor degree is must, Science or Business Degree is preferred.

  • At least 2 years of sales or marketing experience in medical devices, life sciences etc.

  • Prior experience in selling general surgery or medical products is a preferred.

  • Self-motivated, passionate and a team player with strong communication, interpersonal skills and a proactive working attitude.

  • Solution-oriented with proactive mentality in every task given.

  • Good project management skills.

  • Good analytical data-mining skills.

  • Good digital skills, especially on Excel, PowerPoint and Photoshop.

  • Excellent in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
