Kuehne+Nagel Global Human Resources Business Partner, Air Logistics in Hong Kong, Hong Kong

The role involves consulting, diagnosing, and providing HR solutions aligned with business needs and executive management goals in defined geographical scope. It supports the top leadership team in key HR projects in line with BU Air strategic HR initiatives, including change management, upskilling, developing talent pipeline and ensures harmonized cross-functional services with international business partners. It leads, supports and develops national/local HR BPs in the geography to provide the best in class HR support to their responsible client groups.

Your Role

The position operates in a matrix environment, maintaining stakeholder relationships and developing common management tools to uphold HR quality standards.

Your Responsibilities

  • Sparring Partner: Understanding the business strategy and dynamics, think with the business, acting as the Sparring Partner and consultant of the respective commercial head.

  • Strategic Alignment: Manage expectations of the BU Top and Senior Management and challenge BU needs to align with overall strategic goals.

  • Change management: Lead and facilitate change management projects in line with global Air initiatives.

  • Talent and Succession: Surface and facilitate local talents for their future development in the geography as well as in global Air organization.

  • Global Workforce Planning/Skills and Productivity: Assist the Top and Senior Management in verifying and consolidating information and considering future skills and resources needed for the business strategy.

  • Knowledge Management: Share best practices and know-how on key projects.

  • Aligned and Harmonized Business Partner Support: Facilitate local HR to deliver consistent HR processes and services across the entire HR value chain.

  • Geography HRBP leadership: Monitor HR support to BU Air in the geography to ensure consistent high level, address potential issues with proposals/solutions.

  • Corporate HR process: Facilitate the implementation of global HR process and actively provide feedback and suggestions.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Strategic Thinking and HR Strategy Development: Ability to align HR strategies with business objectives and develop HR agendas that drive business goals.

  • Leadership Collaboration and Relationship Management: Proven experience working closely with executive management and top leadership teams, and building effective relationships in a matrix environment.

  • Talent Management Expertise: Proficiency in implementing talent management processes, including career mapping, succession planning, and international assignments.

  • Global HR Operations and Cultural Awareness: Experience managing HR processes and services in a global, cross-functional environment, with sensitivity to both global and local business contexts.
