Principal Accountabilities
Manger of People - the individual must demonstrate teamwork by getting the team to work together to accomplish desired goals and objectives. The Director must do this by using available resources efficiently and effectively. Management comprises planning, organizing, staffing, leading/directing, and controlling their team for the purpose of accomplishing their budgetary goals.
Manager of Self – must be a self-starter that can effectively direct their own activities toward the achievement of objectives, and includes goal setting, decision making, focusing, planning, scheduling, time management, task tracking, self-evaluation, self-intervention, self-development
Geographic Scope of Role
- Hong Kong and Macau
Main Responsibilities
Drive and lead new new business and client retention
Transfer of knowledge across the other business teams
Developing leads from an existing suspect database
Development of leads to successful conclusion
Management and maintenance of pipeline through existing systems
Work with Account Executive and placement team to develop winning proposals for prospects
Grow and develop prospect pipeline so that it is robust enough to exceed sales targets
Strictly adhere all processes with high level of integrity and compliance
Qualifications
University graduate and/or holding of professional insurance qualifications
Minimum 10 years’ experience in general insurance industry and in construction broking field will be an advantage
Strong interpersonal skills with positive attitude and customer-oriented mind set
Team player
Attention to detail and quality
Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel. Powerpoint etc.
Good command in Cantonese, English and/or Mandarin
Regulatory requirements as applicable under local regulations
