Wayne County Human Services, Children and Youth Agency is seeking a Clerical Supervisor 1 to supervise caseworkers who deliver essential services to children, youth, and families facing challenges related to child abuse or general protective needs. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will supervise weekly casework conferences and review all casework dictation, service plans, and treatment plans. You will maintain a log outlining supervisory meeting dates and contents on a monthly basis. You will oversee clerk typists' daily activities, including assignment delegation, performance evaluation, and professional development. You will also provide training and support to clerical staff, ensure accurate record-keeping, and respond to inquiries promptly and professionally.

Additionally, you will assist in preparing reports, correspondence, and other documents as needed. You will maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information, facilitate communication between clerical and professional staff, and handle agency duties such as file maintenance, coordinating insurance for children in placement, and fixed asset inventory. You will also create and modify forms for agency use and serve as a designated Notary Public. As a back-up receptionist, your duties will include answering the phone, welcoming walk-ins, and maintaining the call log.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Work hours may include evenings and weekends. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year of moderately complex clerical work experience; or Any equivalent experience and/or training which provided the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.

You must be able to perform essential job functions. Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Lackawanna, Monroe, Pike, Susquehanna, or Wayne counties. Legal Requirements: You must pass a background investigation. A conditional offer of employment will require drug screening. This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
