Family Practice & Counseling Network Therapist in Homestead, Pennsylvania
Reference #: 2916780 Description Job title Therapist Reports to Clinical Manager/Program Director Position Summary The therapist will provide individual, group, and family therapies to children, adolescents or adults depending on program support population using evidence-based practices in addiction-substance use disorders, mental health diagnosis and other areas as required by program. Perform initial assessment, treatment plans, individual and group counseling, coordinate with program support staff to identify and secure additional services and resources based on client needs.
$1500 sign on bonus available (after successful completion of 90 day probation period). Essential Duties and Functions Therapy Conduct intake assessments including recommendations for treatment Provide individual, group and family therapies to people with mental health and substance abuse issues. Caseload management Maintain active caseload including engaging individuals in ongoing treatment. Maintain tracking system for treatment plans, and other required documents to meet program funder guidelines and program goals. Participate in clinical group meetings regarding ongoing treatment goals, progress and discharge as needed. Administrative Enter documentation into electronic medical records in accordance with agency guidelines. Essential Duties Addendum: Rise Above: Therapist/Clinical Evaluator The clinical evaluator conducts court-ordered biopsychosocial evaluations and makes recommendations for treatment and ancillary services. The evaluations are performed at the program office during daytime hours. Meet with individuals to conduct biopsychosocial evaluations Produce written results document summarizing clinical impressions and recommendations Consult with Assistant Director and/or Program Director on decision-making for challenging cases Facilitate group therapy as needed
Qualifications Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a human service field. Two years' experience providing direct therapy in the area of mental health, substance use or IDD. Familiar with standard business computer software programs and electronic Health Care Database programs. ACT 33/34 clearances if required by program FBI clearance, as needed

The use of arm and/or leg control requires force greater than sedentary, but worker still sits majority of time.
